Fondant Animals - 3D Lion Pictures

Ingredients: garlic press, dark brown fondant, light brown fondant

We start the creation process of this delicious fondant lion with a light brown fondant ball the size of a walnut. This will form the body of our lion. Using our palms, we carefully shape the fondant to achieve an even form. Once the ball is created, it's time to put our decorating skills into action and add the specific details.

We continue by making another ball from the same light brown fondant, which we will gently flatten between our fingers to form the lion's head. This should be slightly smaller than the body. Then, we use a thimble to cut out two small circles from the flattened fondant. These circles will become the lion's ears, and to give them a more detailed appearance, we will make a small hole in each using a toothpick or a fine brush. The ears are glued with water onto the lion's head, ensuring they are well secured.

After we have made the head and ears, it's time to focus on the facial features. From black fondant, we form the lion's eyes and nose, carefully shaping them to achieve a playful and friendly look. Once the facial details are complete, we take the toothpick and insert it into the body of the lion, to help us attach the head in the correct position. We moisten the area around the toothpick with a little water, then gently place the flattened head onto the body.

Next, we come to an important detail: the lion's tail. From the light brown fondant, we form a long and thin roll, which we attach to the back of the body, ensuring it is well secured. The tail will give our lion a touch of personality and will complete its overall look.

Now, we move on to the final stage: the mane! We use dark brown fondant, which we put into a garlic press. As the sausage-shaped forms start to come out, we cut them with a knife, being careful not to damage them. Each piece is then glued with water around the head, thus forming the lion's mane. Don't forget to add a tuft of fondant at the end of the tail to give it a playful and friendly look. In this way, the fondant lion comes to life and becomes an attractive delicacy, perfect for any occasion.
