Chicken with sesame
Ingredients: We need: 1 larger chicken breast, 2 eggs, 2 tablespoons of flour, 150g of sesame, 100ml of oil, salt, pepper, paprika
To prepare a delicious crispy and savory chicken dish, we start by cutting the chicken breast into four equal slices. It is essential that each piece is uniform for proper cooking. Using a meat mallet, we will pound each slice until we achieve a thickness of about 5 mm. This process will not only help tenderize the meat but also allow for quick and even cooking. After we finish pounding the meat, we will generously season it with salt, pepper, and sweet paprika, which will add a pleasant flavor and attractive color.
After seasoning the meat, the slices will slightly overlap and be covered with plastic wrap. They will be left to chill for 20-30 minutes, allowing the flavors to penetrate and the meat to become more tender. During this time, we can prepare for the next stage of the recipe.
For frying the meat, we will heat oil in a deep pan. It is important that the oil is well heated to achieve a crispy crust. While waiting for the oil to reach the optimal temperature, we will focus on breading the meat. Each chicken slice will first be dipped in flour, ensuring it is evenly coated, then in beaten egg, and finally in sesame seeds. This layer of sesame will provide a crunchy texture and a special flavor. If we notice that the sesame layer is not uniform enough, we can repeat the process, dipping the slices again in egg and then in sesame.
Once the oil is hot, we will carefully add the slices of meat to the pan. It is important not to overcrowd the pan to allow the heat to circulate freely, ensuring that each piece becomes golden and crispy. We will fry the slices on each side until they are nicely browned, about 3-4 minutes per side, depending on the thickness of the meat.
After the chicken slices have been fried, we will remove them and place them on a paper towel to absorb the excess oil. This step is essential to achieve a less greasy and more pleasant texture.
Serve the crispy chicken slices with seasonal sides or alongside a fresh salad. Enjoy your meal!
