Cremino Cookies

Ingredients: 00 g butter, 250 g sugar, 2 eggs, vanilla, 450 g flour, 1 packet baking powder, juice from one orange, zest from one orange, whole hazelnuts (nut), salt

Preheat the oven to a temperature of 190-200 degrees Celsius, preparing yourself for a delicious culinary experience. In a large bowl, combine the butter, which should be at room temperature, with the sugar. Use a mixer on low or medium speed to blend the ingredients until you achieve a creamy and fluffy mixture. It is important that the butter is well incorporated, as it will add a rich flavor and pleasant texture to the cookies.

Once the butter and sugar are well mixed, add the eggs one at a time, along with the vanilla extract. Mix well to integrate all the ingredients. In another bowl, combine the flour with the baking powder and salt, mixing them evenly. It is essential that these dry ingredients are well homogenized before incorporating them into the wet mixture. Add the flour mixture to the bowl with the butter and sugar, keeping the mixer on low speed to avoid splattering.

After adding the flour, mix just enough to achieve a homogeneous composition. Your dough will be very creamy, and this is the texture we are looking for—there is no need to add more flour! Now, using a teaspoon, take portions of dough the size of a walnut and form balls. If you do not wish to shape each cookie, you can simply place the dough on the tray without rolling it in sugar, but for a more attractive presentation, it is recommended to roll them in granulated sugar.

For an extra flavor boost, you can add chocolate-covered nuts, which you can melt and use to decorate some of the cookies. This detail will provide not only an appetizing appearance but also a contrast of textures. Place the formed cookies on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, making sure to leave enough space between them, as the cookies will spread considerably during baking.

Once all the cookies are on the tray, place the tray in the preheated oven and let them bake for 10-15 minutes. You will know they are ready when the edges turn slightly golden, and the center remains soft and slightly moist. After baking, let the cookies cool on a rack, where they will firm up a bit. These cookies are perfect to be enjoyed alongside a cup of tea or coffee and are ideal for gifting during holidays or any special occasion. Enjoy every bite!
