Honey Layer Cake

Ingredients: Sheets: -600 g flour, 180 g sugar, 4 tablespoons honey, 1 tablespoon grated baking soda, a pinch of salt, 100 g margarine, warm milk as needed to make a good dough Cream: -250 ml milk, 180 g sugar, 1 tablespoon honey, 80 g gray, 200 g margarine

To prepare this delicious cake, we will start by gathering all the necessary ingredients. In a pot, we boil the honey, sugar, and margarine. We constantly stir to ensure that the sugar completely dissolves and the mixture becomes homogeneous. Once we have achieved a uniform mixture, we let it cool to room temperature. This step is essential, as if we add the dry ingredients to the mixture when it is too hot, there is a risk of lumps forming.

After the mixture has cooled, we gradually add the flour, salt, baking soda, and milk. It is important to integrate them carefully, to obtain a fine and elastic dough. We mix well until all the ingredients are perfectly combined. Then, we divide the dough into four equal portions. Using a rectangular baking tray, we roll out each portion of dough on the back of the tray, ensuring that each sheet has an even thickness. We bake the sheets in the preheated oven at a medium temperature until they become lightly golden. Once baked, we let them cool.

In the meantime, we take care of the delicious cream that will add a rich taste to our cake. In another container, we mix all the ingredients for the semolina cream, except for the margarine. We bring them to a boil, stirring constantly to prevent sticking. Once the mixture starts to thicken, we take it off the heat and let it cool slightly. When the cream is warm, we add the margarine, stirring vigorously until it melts completely and incorporates.

For the filling, we chose to use plum jam and blackberry jam, which will add a fruity and sweet-sour note. We assemble the cake in the following order: one sheet of dough, a layer of evenly distributed plum jam, followed by another sheet, then the semolina cream, a layer of blackberry jam, and finally, the last sheet. After we finish assembling, it is important to press the cake to allow the ingredients to set well together. We let the cake cool completely, and then we can easily slice it to enjoy with loved ones. This cake is perfect for any occasion and will surely bring joy to those who taste it!
