Appetizer Tart

 Ingredients: Dough: 1 cup and 3/4 white flour 1/2 cube margarine (125g) 1/2 teaspoon salt 5-6 tablespoons water (just enough for the dough to hold together) Filling: 2 white onions 200-300gr diced ham 200gr diced ham 200gr cheese 1 can of sliced mushrooms Top: 200 g smanatana 3-4 eggs

To make a delicious and appetizing tart, we start by preparing the dough. In a large bowl, we combine flour with a pinch of salt and a bit of cold butter cut into cubes. We knead the ingredients with our fingers until we get a sandy mixture. Then, we gradually add cold water until the dough becomes smooth and elastic. Once we have the dough, we wrap it in plastic wrap and let it rest in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to firm up.

After the dough has chilled, we take it out of the refrigerator and roll it out on a floured surface, forming a round sheet about 0.5 cm thick. We place the dough sheet in the tart or cake pan, making sure it fits perfectly and the edges are well defined. We use a fork to poke the dough so that it doesn’t rise during baking.

In a frying pan, we melt a little butter and add finely chopped onion. We sauté it until it becomes translucent, then add sliced mushrooms and diced ham. We continue to sauté the ingredients until the mushrooms release their juice and become soft. This combination will give the tart a savory flavor. After we finish sautéing the vegetables and meat, we let them cool slightly.

Once we have prepared the filling, we spread it evenly over the dough in the pan. We grate cheese on top of the filling, making sure it is evenly distributed. We also add finely chopped herbs, which can include parsley, dill, or any other preferred herb, as well as diced bell peppers in three colors: red, yellow, and green. These colors will not only make the tart look more attractive but will also add a touch of freshness.

To finish the dish, we beat the sour cream together with the eggs until we obtain a homogeneous mixture, which we carefully pour over the filling. We preheat the oven to a medium temperature and place the tart in for about 30 minutes. It is important to monitor the baking process until the tart takes on a pleasant golden color and a wonderful crust.

Once the tart is ready, we let it cool for a few minutes before slicing it. The delicious aroma will fill the entire kitchen, and each slice will be a true delight for the taste buds. Enjoy this tart warm, alongside a fresh salad or as an appetizer at a festive meal!
