Nesquik Cake

 Ingredients: Base: 3x Sheets (the ingredients below are for a single sheet): 2 egg whites, 2 tbsp sugar, 1+1/2 tbsp ground nuts, 1/2 tbsp flour, a pinch of salt. Chocolate cream: 100 g dark chocolate, 40 g butter. Nesquik cream: 6 egg yolks, 3+1/2 tbsp sugar, 3+1/2 tbsp flour, 340 ml milk, 70 g Nesquik, 85 g soft butter, 85 g sugar. Whipped cream: 370 ml whipping cream. Decoration: Nesquik powder, grated chocolate, chocolate balls.

To create a delicious cake, we start by preparing the layers. We will whisk the egg whites with a pinch of salt, this step being essential to achieve a fluffy texture. Once the egg whites start to foam, we gradually add the sugar, continuing to whisk until we obtain a glossy and firm mixture. Then, we incorporate the flour mixed with ground nuts, being careful to gently homogenize so as not to lose the air in the mixture. This combination will give the layers a wonderful flavor and a crunchy texture.

We prepare a cake pan with a diameter of 25 cm, which we grease with a little oil and line with baking paper to prevent sticking. We pour the batter into the pan, spreading it evenly, and place it in the preheated oven, baking for 10 to 20 minutes. It is important to check the layers and test them with a toothpick to ensure they are baked properly. We do the same with the other two layers, so that we end up with a total of three delicious layers.

Next, we take care of the chocolate cream. Broken into small pieces, the chocolate is placed together with the butter to melt over low heat or in a double boiler, stirring constantly to avoid burning. Once the mixture is homogeneous and glossy, we divide it into three equal portions, which will be used to spread over the three layers of cake, thus creating a decadent base for our cake.

For the Nesquik cream, we beat the egg yolks with the sugar until they become frothy and change color. We gradually add the flour and milk, continuously mixing to avoid lumps. We put the mixture over low heat or in a double boiler, stirring constantly until the cream thickens. After removing it from the heat, we add the Nesquik powder, mixing well to obtain a smooth cream. We let the cream cool, and in the meantime, we beat the soft butter with the 85 g of sugar, gradually adding the cooled Nesquik cream. We divide this cream into three and spread it evenly over the three layers of chocolate.

For the sour cream, we whip the cream until it thickens, achieving an airy and fluffy texture. As with the previous creams, we divide the cream into three portions and carefully spread it over the Nesquik cream, adding a final layer of flavor.

For decoration, we sprinkle small cocoa balls on top of the cake, but everyone can be creative and add decorative elements according to their preferences, such as fruits, grated chocolate, or even edible flowers. Our cake is now complete, ready to be enjoyed, and will bring smiles to the faces of loved ones. Enjoy your meal!
