Carob Milk

Ingredients: 1 liter of pre-boiled milk, 4 teaspoons of carob powder, 1 teaspoon of brown sugar (or white)

Being a cooler afternoon, I thought nothing compares to a warm and comforting drink that relaxes us and makes us feel good. So I got to work and started preparing a delicious drink made with milk and carob powder. This is not just a drink, but also an experience full of flavor and aroma.

The first step is to put the milk in a deep pot or a cauldron, depending on what you have on hand. It is important to set the heat to low to avoid burning the milk, which can lead to an unpleasant taste. In the meantime, in a separate cup, we mix the carob powder with sugar. If you prefer a healthier option, you can completely skip the sugar, as the milk and carob powder are already sweet enough naturally. Alternatively, a teaspoon of honey can add a touch of sweetness while also providing health benefits.

After the milk has started to heat well, we take 2-3 tablespoons of warm milk and add them to the cup with carob powder and sugar. It is essential to stir well until the mixture becomes homogeneous, so there will be no lumps in the final drink. Then, we repeat the process, adding another 2-3 tablespoons of milk, stirring carefully again. This step is important to ensure that the powder dissolves completely and its rich flavor integrates perfectly into the drink.

Once we have obtained a fine composition, we pour this mixture into the pot with milk. It is time to let the ingredients mingle, gently stirring with a wooden spoon. This will help develop the flavors and create a creamy texture. It is important not to let the drink boil, but just to heat it well, so that all the ingredients combine harmoniously. After a few minutes of gentle stirring, we can turn off the heat.

Our drink is now ready! We can pour it into warm mugs and, if we wish, we can add a sprinkle of cinnamon or a few slices of apple for extra flavor. Savor each sip and enjoy moments of relaxation with loved ones. This drink will not only warm our souls but will also provide a touch of joy on every cool day.
