Mushroom Stew
To prepare a delicious dish with mushrooms, onion, and bell pepper, it is important to follow the steps carefully to achieve a flavorful and savory preparation. Start by cleaning the fresh ingredients: take an onion, a bell pepper, and some mushrooms. Wash them well under cold running water and chop the onion into small cubes, the bell pepper into thin strips, and slice the mushrooms. These cuts not only help with even cooking but also with a pleasant presentation of the final dish.
In a spacious pot, add about 2-3 tablespoons of sunflower oil or olive oil, according to preference. Place the pot over medium heat and once the oil is heated, add the chopped onion. Let it sauté for 2-3 minutes until it becomes translucent. Then, add the bell pepper and sliced mushrooms. Continue to sauté the mixture, stirring occasionally, until the mushrooms become soft and release their juice, and the bell pepper becomes slightly crunchy.

Meanwhile, prepare a thickening mixture from 3 tablespoons of flour mixed with 200 ml of milk. Make sure the mixture is homogeneous, without lumps. When the vegetables in the pot are well cooked, gradually add this flour and milk mixture while continuously stirring to avoid lumps. Let it simmer on low heat for a few minutes until the composition becomes creamy.
To add extra flavor, add salt, seasoning, and freshly ground pepper to taste. Don't forget to add a handful of freshly chopped parsley to enhance the dish's aroma. Mix well and let it simmer for another minute so that all the ingredients blend perfectly. In the end, the dish is ready and can be served hot, alongside a side of rice or fresh bread.
