Cauliflower with Meat
To prepare a delicious baked cauliflower recipe with pork, we start by ensuring we have all the necessary ingredients at hand. First, we will take care of the cauliflower. We break it into small florets so that it cooks evenly and absorbs all the delicious flavors of the dish. Then, we put the cauliflower florets into a pot of boiling water and add a little salt to enhance the flavor. We let the cauliflower boil for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes slightly soft but not completely cooked, as it will continue to cook in the oven.
Meanwhile, we turn our attention to the pork. We cut it into medium-sized pieces and place it in a baking dish. We season the meat with salt, pepper, and other spices to taste, such as paprika or oregano, to give it a special flavor. We add enough water to the dish to partially cover the meat, then cover it with aluminum foil and place it in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius. We let it bake for about 30-40 minutes until it is semi-cooked.
Once the meat is ready, we take the dish out of the oven and add the boiled cauliflower on top of the meat. We continue to complete the dish with thinly sliced bell peppers and sliced tomatoes, which will add freshness and color. We also add a few minced garlic cloves, which will provide an intense flavor to the dish. We season again with salt and pepper, then sprinkle a little breadcrumbs on top, which will form a crispy crust at the end. Finally, we prepare a mixture of sour cream and two beaten eggs, which we pour evenly over the dish in the baking tray. This will add a creamy texture and a rich flavor. We leave it in the oven for the last 15 minutes until the sour cream and egg mixture coagulates and becomes slightly browned. Once ready, we let the dish rest for a few minutes before serving, to intensify the flavors.
