Chocolate pasca is a decadent and flavorful alternative to the traditional cheese pasca, perfect for celebrating the Easter meal. This simple and quick recipe is ideal for those who want to bring a touch of innovation to the festive table. Additionally, the chocolate adds a note of luxury and indulgence, transforming the dessert into a true delicacy. Let's get started!

Preparation time: 30 minutes
Baking time: 45 minutes
Total time: 1 hour and 15 minutes
Number of servings: 8

Ingredients:
- 500 g of cottage cheese (ideally well-drained)
- 200 g of dark chocolate (minimum 70% cocoa)
- 150 g of sugar
- 4 eggs
- 100 ml of cooking cream
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- Grated zest of one lemon
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
- 200 g of puff pastry (optional, for the base)
- A pinch of salt

Instructions:

1. Preparing the ingredients: Start by taking the cottage cheese out of the refrigerator, allowing it to warm to room temperature. This will help achieve a creamier texture. Break the chocolate into small pieces for even melting.

2. Melting the chocolate: Place the chocolate in a heatproof bowl and set it over a pot of hot water, creating a bain-marie. Stir constantly until the chocolate is completely melted. Alternatively, you can use the microwave, melting the chocolate in 30-second intervals and stirring in between.

3. Mixing the composition: In a large bowl, add the cottage cheese, sugar, vanilla sugar, lemon zest, vanilla essence, and a pinch of salt. Use an electric mixer or a whisk to thoroughly combine the ingredients. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Finally, fold in the melted chocolate and cooking cream, mixing until the composition is smooth and creamy.

4. Preparing the mold: If you wish to use puff pastry, roll it out in a tart pan or baking dish, cutting it to the appropriate size. Make sure the pastry covers the sides of the mold well. If not using pastry, you can skip this step.

5. Baking: Pour the chocolate cheese composition into the prepared mold. Preheat the oven to 180°C and bake the pasca for 45 minutes or until the top is firm but the inside remains slightly soft. Check with a toothpick – it should come out clean.

6. Cooling and serving: After baking, let the pasca cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for a few hours, ideally overnight. This step is essential to allow the flavors to fully develop.

7. Serving suggestion: Serve the chocolate pasca decorated with whipped cream, fresh berries, or chocolate shavings. A scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side is also an excellent choice!

Possible variations:
- You can add chopped nuts or almonds to the mixture for added texture.
- If you are a fan of white chocolate, you can replace the dark chocolate with white chocolate, but adjust the sugar according to your preferences, as white chocolate is sweeter.
- Try adding a splash of espresso coffee to the chocolate mixture to enhance the flavor.

This chocolate pasca recipe is not only a delicious choice but also a perfect way to surprise and indulge your Easter guests. Cook with love and enjoy every slice!
