Triangles with Liver Pâté and Green Peas

Ingredients: 200 g green fine peas (frozen) 200 g liver pate 3 eggs 150 g corn (canned) 100 g margarine pepper salt 1 pack phyllo pastry

To prepare a delicious recipe for triangles with liver pâté, peas, and corn, we start by ensuring all the ingredients are ready and at hand. The first step is to boil the peas. Choose fresh or frozen peas, and if you are using canned peas, make sure they are well drained. Boil the peas for about 20 minutes until they become tender. After boiling, drain them well and let them cool completely.

Meanwhile, drain the corn from the can you have available. It is important to remove the excess liquid so as not to alter the texture of the mixture. In a large bowl, combine the liver pâté with the cooled peas and corn. This mixture will add a special flavor and a pleasant consistency to the dish. Next, beat a few eggs, making sure to reserve a tablespoon of the beaten eggs to brush the triangles before placing them in the oven.

Once the mixture of pâté, peas, and corn is homogenized, prepare the pastry sheets. Take 2-3 sheets of pastry and overlap them, then cut them into strips about 6-7 cm wide. This step is essential to achieve uniform triangles. Place a heaping tablespoon of the pâté mixture on one corner of each strip and fold the sheet to form a triangle. As you continue to fold, make sure the filling remains well sealed inside the triangle.

After you have formed all the triangles, use the reserved beaten egg to brush each triangle. This will help achieve a golden and appetizing crust during baking. Prepare the baking tray by greasing it with margarine to prevent sticking. Place the triangles on the tray, leaving a little space between them to allow for expansion.

Bake the triangles in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about 30 minutes, or until they become nicely browned and crispy. The aroma that will spread in the kitchen will be irresistible, and the taste will be just as good. After removing them from the oven, let them cool for a few minutes before serving. These triangles can be enjoyed warm or at room temperature, making them ideal for a snack, a party, or even as an appetizer at a festive meal. Bon appétit!
