Ingredients:
- Store-bought cake base (1 piece)
- Cream 1:
- 200 g white chocolate
- 40 g powdered sugar
- 200 g butter (at room temperature)
- A few drops of vanilla essence
- Cream 2:
- 1 packet Dr. Oetker vanilla cream
- 8 tablespoons whipped cream
- 200 ml milk
- Decoration:
- 300 g whipped cream
- Food coloring (preferably in cheerful shades)
Step by Step:
1. Preparing Cream 1:
Start by melting the white chocolate in a bain-marie or in the microwave. If you choose the microwave, make sure to melt it in short intervals of 20-30 seconds, stirring in between to avoid burning. Once the chocolate has cooled, in a large bowl, beat the softened butter with the powdered sugar until you achieve a fluffy mixture. Gradually add the melted chocolate, mixing continuously. Finally, incorporate the vanilla essence for an irresistible aroma.
2. Preparing Cream 2:
In another bowl, combine the Dr. Oetker vanilla cream with the milk and beat it with a mixer until you achieve a firm consistency. Add the 8 tablespoons of whipped cream and gently mix with a spatula to maintain the airiness.
3. Assembling the Cake:
Place the first part of the cake base on a platter and generously spread with Cream 1. Add the second part of the cake base and cover with Cream 2. Then, place the last part of the cake on top. Cover the cake with whipped cream, leaving some for decoration. Mix the remaining whipped cream with food coloring to achieve cheerful shades, then decorate the cake as you like.
4. Cooling:
Leave the cake in the refrigerator for a few hours, ideally 4 hours, for the flavors to blend perfectly and the cream to set.
Practical Tips:
- Choose a high-quality white chocolate for a more flavorful cream.
- You can add a bit of condensed milk to Cream 1 for extra sweetness and creaminess.
- If you want a lighter version, you can use a homemade cake base, which you can flavor with vanilla or lemon.
- Experiment with different colors of food coloring to create a cheerful and appealing look.
Personal Note:
For an extra touch of fun, you can add chocolate decorations or marzipan figures, which will bring a sprinkle of magic to the party. This white chocolate and vanilla cream cake is not just a quick dessert but also a symbol of joy and love, perfect for celebrating special moments with loved ones.
