Doughnuts with cheese and chocolate cream
We start by preparing a delicious recipe for cheese donuts that will surely become everyone's favorites. In a generous bowl, we will mix the well-crumbled cottage cheese with fresh eggs and caramel sauce. This mixture will add a touch of sweetness and a creamy texture to our donuts.
Next, we take the baking powder and dissolve it with a little lemon juice, which will enhance its effectiveness and make the donuts rise nicely while frying. After obtaining a homogeneous composition, we add a pinch of salt, cornstarch, and sifted flour, mixing with a wooden spoon until the ingredients are well integrated. It is important to achieve a slightly soft and sticky dough that will give the donuts that fluffy consistency.
For an extra flavor, we do not forget to add vanilla essence. Now, we prepare a tray on which we sprinkle a little flour, and we flour our hands well to easily shape the donuts. Take a piece of the mixture and gently flatten it, then add a teaspoon of chocolate cream in the middle. Carefully, we form balls from the dough, ensuring they are well sealed so they do not open while frying.
After finishing shaping the donuts, we place them on the floured tray, making sure they do not touch each other. I managed to obtain 12 pieces of suitable size. In a deep pan, we put enough oil for frying and transfer it to the heat. When the oil is well heated, we adjust the temperature so that it is suitable for frying. Carefully, we add the donuts, being careful not to overcrowd them, so they fry evenly.
We brown them nicely on both sides until they become golden and appetizing. After frying them, we take them out into a bowl lined with kitchen towels to absorb the excess oil. Personally, I chose to fry the donuts in two batches, changing the oil after the first batch, as it had colored a bit due to the chocolate cream.
After they have cooled slightly, we dust them with sugar and serve them warm, as a savory dessert, ideal for any time of the day. These cheese donuts with chocolate cream are a delight for the taste buds, bringing joy in every bite. Enjoy your meal!
