Chocolate and Condensed Milk Biscuits
Ingredients: -90 g flour -60 g butter -300 ml condensed milk -250 g dark or milk chocolate -1 teaspoon baking powder
To prepare these delicious cookies, start by melting the butter together with the chocolate, choosing to use either milk chocolate or dark chocolate, depending on your preferences. It is recommended to opt for the bain-marie method, as this will allow you to better control the temperature and avoid burning the chocolate. Cut the chocolate into small pieces for it to melt evenly. Once the chocolate and butter have transformed into a homogeneous mixture, add the condensed milk, mixing well to achieve a smooth texture. This ingredient will add intense sweetness and exceptional creaminess to the cookies.
After homogenizing the mixture, it is time to integrate the sifted flour along with the baking powder. The sifted flour will ensure a slightly fluffy texture, and the baking powder will help the cookies rise during baking. Mix with a spatula or wooden spoon until all ingredients are well incorporated, and the mixture becomes dense and shiny. If you used milk chocolate, let the mixture cool slightly before continuing, so as not to affect the final texture of the cookies. If you opted for dark chocolate, you can skip this step, as it does not require prolonged cooling.
The next step is to form the cookies. Using a teaspoon, take small portions of the mixture and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, making sure to leave enough space between them, as the cookies will expand during baking. Make sure to have about 5 cm of distance between the mounds, so they do not stick together. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and place the tray with cookies inside. Bake for about 10-15 minutes, but be careful with the baking time, as each oven is different, and it is important not to let the cookies burn. When the edges turn slightly golden and the surface looks dry, the cookies are ready. Remove them from the oven and let them cool on a rack. These cookies will be crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, perfect for enjoying with a cup of coffee or tea.
