Sweet little trees
Delicious and highly effective, these cookie trees are a true delicacy that you can easily prepare, bringing a touch of magic to any festive moment. We start by putting milk in a pot, adding sugar, which will bring sweetness and enhance the flavors. We place the pot on low heat and stir with a wooden spatula, making sure that the sugar completely melts, releasing its sweet aroma. Once the sugar has dissolved, we take the pot off the heat and let the mixture cool slightly. At this point, we add the butter and rum essence, mixing well to achieve a homogeneous and fragrant composition.
Next, we take care of the cookies and nuts. We use a food processor to grind the cookies and nuts, so that we achieve a fine texture, but not too powdery, to maintain a slight crunch. In a large bowl, we combine the crushed cookies, nuts, and cocoa powder, mixing them well to ensure an even distribution of flavors.
After the mixture is homogeneous, we pour the cooled milk composition over the dry ingredients. Using our hands, we start kneading the mixture, making sure to obtain a non-sticky dough that can be easily shaped. It is important to ensure that all ingredients are well incorporated, and the texture becomes slightly malleable and pleasant to the touch.
Now comes the fun part! We take a portion of the dough and place it into a tree-shaped mold. Here, it is essential to press the dough well so that it takes the desired shape. Once we fill the mold, we carefully detach its sides, and the tree will come out easily, ready to be placed on a platter. We repeat the process until we finish all the mixture.
As the trees gather on the platter, we can let our imagination soar. We can decorate each tree with a drizzle of melted chocolate, crushed nuts, or coconut flakes to give them a festive and attractive appearance. These trees are not only a treat for the taste buds but also a visual delight, perfect for enjoying in the company of loved ones during the holidays. Enjoy every bite with joy!
