Simple cake
To prepare a delicious and slightly moist egg cake, we start by gathering the necessary ingredients. You will need 4 fresh eggs, 200g of granulated sugar, 100ml of vegetable oil, 100ml of lukewarm water, and a few spices that you enjoy, such as vanilla or cinnamon. These will add a special flavor to the dish.
In a large bowl, add the eggs and sugar. Use an electric mixer or a whisk to beat these ingredients well until the mixture becomes frothy and a deep yellow. It is important to achieve an airy texture, as this will contribute to the cake's lightness and moisture. Once you have a homogeneous mixture, add the oil and water, continuing to mix until everything is perfectly incorporated.
After finishing with the wet mixture, it’s time to deal with the dry ingredients. In another bowl, combine 250g of flour with 10g of baking powder. These need to be well mixed to avoid lumps in the final composition. Once you have a uniform mixture, sprinkle the flour over the egg mixture. Stir with a spatula or a wooden spoon, being careful not to overmix, in order to keep the air in the mixture.
Prepare a baking tray, which you can grease with butter and then dust with flour, or you can use parchment paper. This will make it easier to remove the cake from the tray after baking. Pour the obtained mixture into the tray, ensuring it is evenly distributed.
Place the tray in a preheated oven at 180°C and let the cake bake for about 35 minutes. It is important not to open the oven door in the first 25 minutes to allow the cake to rise evenly. After this interval, you can do the knife test by inserting it into the center of the cake. If it comes out clean, the cake is ready!
After removing it from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes in the tray, then transfer it to a rack to cool completely. You can serve the cake plain or decorate it with icing, whipped cream, or fresh fruits, depending on your preferences. Enjoy it with your loved ones!
