Baby booties

Ingredients: 4 eggs 200 g sugar 10 tablespoons of water 200 g flour 50 g baking soda extinguished with lemon juice

To create an amazing delicacy in the form of booties made from muffins, we will start by preparing the muffins, an essential element in this recipe. From 12 muffins, we get 4 pairs of booties, but I chose to make only 2 pairs, having only 6 muffins available. I used a leftover dough from a cake base, in order to avoid waste, and combined everything with a delicious chocolate cream, inspired by Lory's recipe, which combines whipped cream and melted chocolate.

The first step is to preheat the oven to a medium temperature and prepare the muffin molds by greasing them with butter and sprinkling flour to prevent sticking. We start with preparing the sponge cake: separate the egg yolks from the egg whites. Beat the yolks with 200g of sugar, and the baking soda is extinguished with a little lemon juice and water from the 10 tablespoons. This mixture is added to the yolks, after which we start beating the egg whites with 50g of sugar until they form stiff peaks.

Once the two mixtures are ready, we carefully fold them together using a spatula to preserve the air in the egg whites. The mixture is poured into the muffin molds and baked until golden and fluffy. Once baked, we let them cool completely so they can be decorated.

To build the booties, we take 3 muffins and place them on a tray. One of the muffins is cut in half and placed in front of the two whole muffins. Then, the two whole muffins are also cut in half, and the edges are spread with chocolate cream to stick them back together. On the outside, a layer of chocolate cream is also applied to the shoulders of the booties, and the cut side of the remaining muffin is carefully attached, making sure not to spread the cream.

After the booties are assembled, we dress them with whipped cream and sprinkle large flaked coconut. This detail will give the desired fluffy booties look. From the jelly candies, we create two strings that we tie into a bow, adding a playful accent to the two booties.

If you want to add a splash of color, you can color the coconut. Put the flakes in a plastic bag, add a few drops of food coloring in the desired shades, and shake well. This way, the coconut flakes will be perfectly colored and ready to be used to decorate the booties.

Finally, use the colored flakes to adorn the booties, transforming them into a true culinary work of art. These treats not only look wonderful, but they are also incredibly delicious. Enjoy your meal!
