To prepare a delicious cream roll recipe, start by gathering all the necessary ingredients for the dough. You will need flour, yeast, warm milk, sugar, eggs, and butter. In a large bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, and yeast. In another bowl, beat the eggs with the warm milk and melted butter, then add the liquid mixture to the dry ingredients. Knead the dough by hand for about 10 minutes until it becomes elastic and smooth. If you notice that the dough is too soft, feel free to add a handful of extra flour to achieve the desired consistency.

Once you have finished kneading, cover the bowl with a clean towel and let it rise in a warm, draft-free place for about an hour, or until the dough doubles in volume. After the dough has risen, divide it into four equal parts. Take each piece and roll it out into a thin sheet on a floured surface.

Meanwhile, prepare the delicious cream by mixing the soft butter with the sugar until you achieve a fluffy mixture. Use this cream to evenly spread over each sheet of dough. If you want an extra flavor, sprinkle ground nuts, coconut flakes, or cinnamon over the cream, depending on your preferences.

After you have spread cream on all the sheets, carefully roll them up to form tight rolls. Cut each roll into pieces about 4 cm long and place them in a baking tray lined with parchment paper, leaving a little space between them as they will puff up while baking. Cover the tray with a towel and let them rise for another 30 minutes to achieve a fluffy texture.

While the rolls are rising, prepare the flavored syrup. Boil the milk with sugar and vanilla essence in a saucepan, stirring continuously until the sugar completely dissolves and the mixture becomes smooth.

After the 30 minutes have passed, preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Bake the rolls for about 20 minutes, or until they become golden and fluffy. At the end of this time, remove the rolls from the oven and brush them with the warm syrup obtained earlier to give them a sweet touch and a shiny appearance. Put them back in the oven for a few minutes to allow the syrup to absorb into the dough.
