Stuffed oven chicken – a delicious recipe that transforms an ordinary meal into a festive one! This simple and savory stuffed chicken recipe is perfect for any occasion, from family dinners to celebrations. With a flavorful marinade and rich stuffing, this chicken will surely become the star of your table.

Preparation time: 30 minutes
Marinating time: 12 hours (ideally, leave it overnight)
Baking time: 1 hour and 30 minutes
Total: 13 hours
Number of servings: 6

Ingredients:
- 1 large chicken (1.5-2 kg)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons of mustard
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- 3-4 tablespoons of olive oil
- 50 g of butter
- 1 head of garlic (about 10 cloves)
- 1 teaspoon of sweet paprika
- 1 tablespoon of dried herbs (oregano, thyme, or basil)
- Spices (cumin, coriander, to taste)
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 can of corn (about 300 g)
- 300 g of mushrooms, sliced
- 4 slices of bacon

Preparation:

1. Marinating the chicken: Start by preparing the marinade. In a bowl, mix the mustard, honey, olive oil, sweet paprika, crushed garlic, salt, pepper, and dried herbs. This mix will add an intense and aromatic flavor to the chicken.

2. Preparing the chicken: Wash the chicken well and remove any leftovers. Use a paper towel to dry it. Rub the chicken with the marinade, ensuring it gets under the skin to penetrate the flavors. It is important to use a generous amount of marinade as it will keep the chicken juicy during baking.

3. Marinating: Wrap the chicken in plastic wrap and let it marinate in the fridge for 12 hours or, ideally, overnight. This step is essential for getting flavorful and tender meat.

4. Preparing the stuffing: On the baking day, sauté the chopped onion in a pan with a little oil until it becomes translucent. Add the sliced mushrooms and drained corn, and continue to sauté everything until the mushrooms release their juice. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

5. Stuffing the chicken: Remove the chicken from the fridge and fill the cavity with the vegetable mixture and sliced bacon. If you want an extra flavor note, you can also add some fresh herbs or a splash of white wine to the stuffing.

6. Aromatic butter: Cut the butter into cubes and place it under the skin on the chicken’s breast. This will add extra flavor and keep the meat juicy during baking.

7. Baking: Preheat the oven to 180°C. Place the chicken in a baking dish and cover it with aluminum foil for the first part of baking. Let it bake for 1 hour, then remove the foil and continue baking the chicken for another 30 minutes until it becomes golden and crispy.

8. Serving: The stuffed chicken is served hot, alongside delicious side dishes. I recommend pairing it with gratin potatoes enriched with sour cream and cheese for a comforting meal. Additionally, a fresh vegetable salad will add a wonderful contrast.

9. Variations: You can experiment with the stuffing by adding other vegetables, such as carrots or zucchini, or even feta cheese for a more intense flavor. If you prefer a lighter version, you can use boneless chicken breast and your favorite stuffing.

This stuffed oven chicken is truly a recipe that will delight your taste buds and bring a touch of happiness to your table. Enjoy and happy holidays!
