Mini Hamburgers

I started the process of preparing hamburger buns by setting up the dough maker. This is a fundamental step, as a well-risen dough will add flavor and texture to the buns. After the rising time was up, I took the dough out of the machine and kneaded it by hand for about a minute. This additional kneading helps develop the gluten network, essential for achieving a light and airy texture in the buns.

After this kneading, I cut the dough into pieces the size of a small egg, making sure they were uniform to bake evenly. I then placed them on a greased tray, ensuring they were spaced apart to allow for expansion during rising. I covered the tray with a clean towel and let the dough rise again until its volume increased significantly, which took about 30-40 minutes.

After this second rise, I brushed each bun with a beaten egg, giving them a shiny and appetizing crust. On top, I sprinkled some sesame seeds, which not only add a decorative touch but also a delicious flavor. The tray was then placed in the preheated oven, where the buns were baked until golden and fluffy.

After taking them out of the oven, I let them cool on a wire rack, and then I decided to store them in a plastic bag to keep them fresh while preparing the meat for the burgers. The next day, I moved on to assembling the burgers. I carefully cut each bun in half, and on the bottom half, I added a teaspoon of mustard, which will provide a spicy and flavorful note.

On top of the mustard, I placed a carefully prepared hamburger patty, followed by a crispy slice of pickled cucumber, which adds freshness and a textural contrast. I continued with a slice of juicy tomato and added a quarter of a slice of cheese, which will melt slightly due to the warmth of the bun. I placed the top half on and secured it with a toothpick, creating a small hamburger, perfectly sized to be enjoyed in two delicious bites. This simple yet refined recipe brings not just hamburgers to your table, but also moments of joy and culinary satisfaction.
