We start with the filling, an essential step that will give the tart an unforgettable taste. We carefully wash the strawberries, removing the stems that could spoil their final appearance. After cleaning them, we cut them into pieces of about 4-6, depending on their size; smaller or larger, each piece will add extra flavor. We put them in a pot, add sugar, which will help caramelize the strawberries, and the seeds from the vanilla pod, which will enhance the natural aroma of the fruit. We transfer the pot to medium heat, stirring gently to ensure that the sugar dissolves evenly. We let the mixture boil for 15 minutes, during which the strawberries will start to release their juice, creating a delicious mixture. After boiling, we reduce the heat to low and prepare the cornstarch; we dissolve it with two tablespoons of water and pour it over the filling, stirring constantly. In 1-2 minutes, the filling will thicken, signaling that it is ready. We take it off the heat and let it cool to preserve its texture and taste.

Now we turn our attention to the dough, which will form the perfect base for this tart. In a large bowl, we mix the flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder, ensuring that all the ingredients are well combined. We add the egg, cold butter cut into cubes, and vanilla extract, ingredients that will give the dough a special flavor and texture. Using our fingers, we mix until we obtain a sandy dough, which will be easy to shape. We line a tart pan with parchment paper, and from the dough, we take 3/4 and press it evenly on the bottom of the pan, making sure to cover all corners. We pour the strawberry filling on top, leveling it with a spatula for an even appearance. We crumble the remaining dough on top, creating a crunchy crust. For an extra flavor, we cut the chocolate into cubes and sprinkle it evenly on top.

We place the tart in the preheated oven at a moderate temperature, letting it bake until the top crust becomes golden-ruby. The aroma that will fill the kitchen will be irresistible! When it's ready, we take the tart out of the oven and let it cool slightly, so it can be cut more easily. Although it's tempting to cut it immediately, the wait is truly worth it, but I couldn't resist and cut it when it was warm because the delicious aroma irresistibly drew me in. This dessert is perfect for any occasion and will surely impress everyone!
