Appetizer Roses

Ingredients: Dough: 600 g flour, 300 ml water, 70 ml oil, one teaspoon of salt, one tablespoon of sugar, 130 g soft salted cheese, 25 g fresh yeast. For the filling: 250 g chicken breast, one teaspoon of hot pepper jam, 3 cloves of crushed garlic, salt.

To prepare a delicacy that will bring joy to everyone's tables, we will start by placing the basic ingredients in a large bowl: wheat flour, salt, sugar, and crumbled cheese. These are mixed well to combine the flavors. In a separate container, we heat a little water, enough to activate the yeast, and add the oil along with the dry yeast. The warm water and oil mixture will help achieve a fluffy dough. Once the yeast has dissolved, we pour it into the bowl with the dry ingredients and begin to knead the dough. It is important to knead until the dough becomes soft, elastic, and no longer sticks to the hands. After achieving the desired consistency, we cover the bowl with a clean towel and let the dough rise for about 40 minutes in a warm place, away from drafts.

After the rising time has expired, we divide the dough into 15-16 equal balls. These balls will be the base of our delicious roses. We grease the work surface with a little oil to prevent sticking and begin to shape each ball. We roll each ball into a round shape, then cut it into four parts, taking care to keep the center intact. In the center of the resulting circle, we add the preferred filling, which can vary from cheese and greens to meat or vegetables.

Now comes the interesting part: folding. We take one section from the four and 'dress' it over the filling, then take the opposite section and repeat the process. We continue with the remaining two sections, pinching the dough slightly at the end to ensure it closes well and does not unfold while baking. Once all the balls have been shaped and filled, we preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. We brush the roses with a beaten egg to give them a golden and shiny crust, and sprinkle some sesame seeds on top, which will add a crunchy texture.

We bake the roses in the preheated oven for 20-30 minutes or until the tops turn golden and appetizing. The aroma that will spread in the kitchen will be unforgettable. Once baked, we let them cool slightly before enjoying them. This dish is not only a delicious choice for a snack but also an excellent option for parties or festive meals, being appreciated by everyone. Enjoy your meal!
