Spaghetti carbonara recipe
We start by preparing the necessary ingredients to make a delicious meal of spaghetti with bacon and creamy sauce. In a large pot, we add water, a teaspoon of salt, and two tablespoons of olive oil. We transfer the pot to the heat and wait for the water to reach boiling point. When the water is boiling, we add the spaghetti and let it cook for 8-10 minutes, according to the package instructions, until it becomes al dente. After boiling, we drain it in a colander to remove excess water.
Meanwhile, we prepare the bacon, cutting it into thin, long strips. The garlic, which we carefully peel, is cut in half, taking care not to crush it to preserve its aroma. We heat a pan over medium heat, adding the bacon slices and the cut garlic. We let the bacon brown slightly until it becomes crispy, and the garlic releases its aroma. After a few minutes, we remove the garlic from the pan, allowing the bacon to continue cooking.
In a separate bowl, we beat the egg yolks well, adding a cup of cooking cream. This mixture will add creaminess to our sauce. Once the bacon is browned, we lower the heat and pour the egg and cream mixture into the pan. It is important to stir constantly to avoid the eggs curdling, so that we achieve a smooth and creamy sauce. We add salt and pepper to taste, continuing to stir for about a minute until the sauce thickens slightly.
Once the sauce is ready, we add the cooked spaghetti to the pan, carefully mixing them so that they are evenly coated with the sauce. We leave everything on the heat for another minute to allow the pasta to absorb the flavors of the sauce. Finally, we remove the pan from the heat and grate the cheese using a fine grater, generously sprinkling it over our creamy spaghetti.
We serve immediately, enjoying this simple yet flavorful recipe, perfect for a comforting dinner. The spaghetti with bacon and creamy sauce will surely be appreciated by all who taste it, bringing a touch of joy to our tables.
