Baked Carp with Vegetables II
Ingredients: 1 carp 1 carrot 1 pepper 1 onion 1 lemon salt pepper
To prepare a delicious and healthy dish, we start by cleaning the fish, making sure to remove all impurities and scales, then we wash it well under a stream of cold water. Choose a fresh fish, such as sea bream or sea bass, to achieve a rich and authentic flavor. Once the fish is clean, we can season it with salt and pepper, ensuring the flavor penetrates well into the flesh.
While the fish is being seasoned, we take care of the vegetables. The carrots are peeled and sliced into thin rounds for even cooking. We can also add other vegetables, such as zucchini or bell peppers, to bring extra color and flavor to the dish. After all the vegetables are prepared, we grease a baking dish with olive oil to prevent the ingredients from sticking and to facilitate later cleaning.
The first layer we place in the dish is the carrots, which will contribute to creating a flavorful base for the fish. Then, we take the seasoned fish and carefully place it over the carrots. Inside the fish, we add a few slices of juicy tomatoes, a slice of onion for a slightly sweet taste, and a few slices of lemon, which will add a note of freshness and acidity.
After we have stuffed the fish, we arrange the rest of the vegetables around it, ensuring that each piece is well distributed. This will not only enhance the appearance of the dish but will also allow the flavors to combine during baking. We generously drizzle olive oil to intensify the flavor and help achieve a golden crust.
Now, we prepare the oven at a temperature of 180°C and place the dish with fish and vegetables inside. The baking time is about 30 minutes, but it's good to check from time to time. At the end, using a fork, we gently poke the fish; if the fork easily penetrates the flesh, it means the dish is ready. Serve the fish warm, garnished with the baked vegetables, and enjoy a healthy and flavorful meal, perfect for any occasion!
