Easter Pudding with Minced Meat

Ingredients: -500 g small pasta -500 g minced meat -1 can (720 ml) diced tomatoes in juice -1 tablespoon tomato paste -250 ml wine -100 g bacon, sliced -300 g cheese (cheddar) grated, mixed with sour cream (to taste) -100 g sliced cheese -emmentaler -4 eggs -2-4 cloves of garlic -1 bell pepper, diced -1 large onion -4 tablespoons oil -thyme, to taste -salt -pepper -butter

To prepare a savory and comforting dish, we start by boiling the pasta in a large pot of lightly salted boiling water. It is important to cook it al dente so that it maintains a pleasant texture and does not turn into a mushy paste. Once boiled, we carefully drain it and set it aside.

In a deep skillet, we heat the oil until it becomes hot, then add the onion and garlic, both finely chopped. We cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the onion becomes translucent and begins to release its aromas. Then, we add the diced bell pepper and continue to sauté until it softens and intensifies in flavor. The next step is to add the ground meat, mixing well to break it into small pieces. We cook the meat until it changes color, then add the tomato paste, dried thyme, and white wine. We cover the skillet and let the mixture simmer on low heat for about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.

After 30 minutes, we add the diced tomatoes, including their juice, and let it continue to simmer. Finally, we season with salt and pepper to taste, ensuring that the flavors are well balanced.

In a buttered soufflé dish, we begin to layer the dish. The first layer consists of the boiled pasta, followed by a generous layer of the flavored meat mixture. We continue with another layer of pasta, which will support the rest of the ingredients.

We prepare a delicious mixture of grated cheese (cheddar) and sour cream, which we pour evenly over the pasta. Then, we beat the eggs and distribute them on top, ensuring they integrate well between the layers of pasta and meat. Finally, we cover everything with slices of Emmental cheese and sliced bacon, which will add a touch of flavor and an appetizing appearance.

We place the dish in the preheated oven and let it bake for 50-60 minutes at a moderate temperature, until a nicely browned crust forms on top. The aroma of the dish will fill the entire kitchen, and in the end, you will have a gratin dish that is tasty and hearty, perfect for a family meal or with friends. Enjoy your meal!
