Pizza-style meat
To prepare a special culinary delight, we start by slicing the chicken breast into thin pieces that will cook evenly and quickly. Make sure the slices are of similar thickness to achieve an even browning. In the meantime, prepare a deep pan, in which you will add a splash of high-quality olive oil. The oil will add a pleasant flavor and help achieve a crispy texture.
After the oil has heated up, add the finely chopped garlic. Its aroma will fill the kitchen, and the garlic will bring an unmistakable taste to the dish. When the garlic turns golden, it’s time to add the slices of meat to the pan. Lightly brown them on both sides for just a few minutes until they change color, without cooking them completely, to keep the juiciness.
Once the meat has taken on an appetizing hue, add water to assist in further cooking, along with a splash of white wine that will enhance the flavors. Season with salt, pepper, and if desired, add other herbs like thyme or basil for an extra touch of flavor. Let everything simmer over medium heat, covering the pan with a lid, so that the steam helps cook the meat evenly.
As the water reduces, the meat will continue to cook in the rich sauce created. When you feel that the chicken breast is almost done, carefully add slices of mozzarella or gouda cheese, which will melt beautifully, enveloping the meat in a creamy layer. Also add black olives on top, which will provide a salty taste contrast and a splash of color. Don’t forget the sliced tomatoes, which will add freshness and a hint of acidity to the dish.
Cover the pan again and let it simmer on low heat for a few more minutes until the cheese is completely melted and the ingredients are perfectly integrated. The final dish will have an irresistible aroma and an appetizing appearance. Serve it alongside tortellini, which can be boiled separately and seasoned with a light tomato sauce or with butter and sage, to complete this delicious meal. Enjoy your meal!
