To prepare a delicious meat roll with stuffed bell peppers, start by cleaning the bell peppers. Cut off the stem and remove the seeds, so you have a perfect base for the filling. In a bowl, prepare a homogeneous and creamy mixture of salty cheese, cottage cheese, soft butter, grated cheese, sour cream, green onions, finely chopped fresh herbs, crushed garlic, and a few diced red peppers. This mixture will provide a rich flavor and a pleasant texture to the roll. Mix well until all ingredients are integrated.

In another bowl, combine the two types of minced meat with whole eggs and finely chopped onion. Generously season with salt and pepper, according to your preferences. This meat mixture will form the base of the roll, so make sure it is well homogenized. Then prepare a large baking sheet, sprinkling it with a layer of breadcrumbs and sesame seeds to add a crunchy texture to the roll.

Spread the meat mixture onto the baking sheet, giving it a rectangular shape. Sprinkle the grated cheese on top and place the stuffed peppers in the middle of the roll, on the longer side. Using the baking sheet, roll the meat over the peppers, forming a tight log. Make sure the roll is well compacted, and the ends are properly sealed to prevent the filling from leaking out.

Once you have completed the roll, generously sprinkle the entire surface with the breadcrumb and sesame mixture. Wrap the meat roll in baking paper, making sure to seal the ends well. Place the roll in a tray and put it in the preheated oven at 250 degrees Celsius, allowing it to bake for about an hour at moderate heat (180-200 degrees).

After the baking time has expired, remove the tray from the oven and carefully unwrap the baking paper, cutting only the top part to avoid the hot steam. Sprinkle the roll with another layer of breadcrumbs and sesame, and add a few pieces of butter to achieve a crispy and golden crust. Put the roll back in the oven for another 20-30 minutes or until the meat is well cooked and has a nicely browned crust.

Taste the roll to check if it is well cooked; the beef may appear slightly reddish, so make sure it is cooked properly. If you like, you can also add halved tomatoes sprinkled with salt and basil or thyme to the tray, to bake alongside the roll. Serve the dish warm, sliced, alongside sour cream or roasted tomatoes, or let it cool for a delicious snack. This roll not only looks wonderful but also offers a mix of flavors that will delight any meal.
