- 3-4 plums, halved (choose ripe plums)
- 3-4 nectarines, sliced (you can also use peaches)
- 1-2 tablespoons vanilla sugar

- 100 g cold butter, diced
- 200 g flour
- 100 g sugar

Preparation

1. Preparing the dough: In a large bowl, combine the flour with the salt. In another container, dissolve the yeast in the lukewarm milk (make sure it’s not hot, to avoid killing the yeast). Add the sugar and let it sit for 5-10 minutes until it forms foam.

2. Mixing the ingredients: Add the egg and melted butter to the yeast mixture, then pour this mixture over the flour. Knead the dough for 10 minutes until it becomes elastic and smooth. If it’s too sticky, you can add a little more flour.

3. Proofing: Cover the bowl with a clean towel and let the dough rise in a warm place for 30-45 minutes, or until it doubles in size.

4. Preparing the filling: While the dough is rising, prepare the fruits. Mix the slices of nectarines and plums with the vanilla sugar, letting them sit for a few minutes to release their juices.

5. Assembling the cake: Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Once the dough has risen, roll it out on a floured surface, forming a sheet about 1 cm thick. Place the sheet in a greased baking pan and let it rise for another 10-15 minutes.
