Spicy Pepper Sauce with Garlic
Ingredients: 500 g hot peppers, 6-8 cloves of garlic (why are they called cloves?!), 4 tablespoons of vinegar, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 tablespoon of sugar
To prepare a delicious and flavorful paste, we start by choosing the right ingredients. Make sure you have everything you need at hand: nuts, seeds, fresh or dried herbs, garlic, olive oil, salt, sugar, and vinegar. These will contribute to creating a paste with a fine texture and refined taste.
The first step is to measure the ingredients carefully. For example, you can use a cup of nuts, half a cup of sunflower seeds, a few cloves of garlic, and a handful of fresh herbs, such as basil or parsley. Once you have everything prepared, put the ingredients in the food processor. Make sure the processor is well cleaned and ready to achieve a smooth paste.
Start the processor and mix the ingredients at medium speed, gradually adding olive oil until you achieve a creamy consistency. Depending on your preferences, you can adjust the amount of oil to get a thinner or thicker paste. After the paste has reached the desired texture, stop the processor and taste the mixture.
It’s time to add salt, sugar, or vinegar, depending on your preferences. These ingredients will balance the flavor of your dish, bringing a note of freshness and a more intense aroma. Mix again with the help of the processor to combine all the flavors well.
After you have obtained the perfect paste, carefully transfer the contents into a sterilized jar. Choose a jar with an airtight lid to preserve the aroma and freshness of the paste for a longer period. Make sure the paste is well leveled, and if you wish, you can add a drizzle of oil on top to prevent oxidation.
Close the jar and keep it in the refrigerator. Your paste will be ready to be used in various dishes, from salads to sandwiches or as a sauce for pasta. This versatile condiment not only enhances the flavor of dishes but is also a healthy choice, rich in nutrients. Enjoy every serving and savor the result of your work!
