Dina Cake

Ingredients: We need: 3 cups of flour, 5 egg yolks, 2 sticks of butter (200 grams) lemon zest. (the size of the cup is what you see in the picture with the ingredients)

To prepare a delicious recipe for stuffed pastries, we start by preparing the dough. In a large bowl, we add a cup of warm milk, which will help activate the yeast and provide a fluffy texture to the pastries. Over the milk, we sprinkle four tablespoons of sugar, which will not only sweeten the dough but also contribute to its caramelization during baking. Then, we add two teaspoons of dry yeast. We mix the ingredients well and let the mixture rise for about 10 minutes, until the yeast starts to form bubbles, a sign that it is active.

Once the rising time has passed, in a large bowl, we put the milk mixture with yeast and sugar, gradually adding flour (about 500-600 g, depending on the desired consistency) and a pinch of salt. We knead the dough energetically for about 10 minutes, until it becomes elastic and no longer sticks to our hands or the bowl. Finally, we let the dough rise in a warm place, covered with a clean towel, until it doubles in volume.

Once the dough has risen, we divide it into four equal parts. We take each piece and roll it out with a rolling pin on a surface dusted with a little flour, obtaining thin sheets, perfect for filling. Now comes the creative part: the filling. In this recipe, we chose a delicious combination of flavors. Two of the sheets will be filled with diced Turkish delight and white chocolate, while the other two will be filled with dark chocolate and a fine foam made from three beaten egg whites with sugar, adding a little cocoa and rum for an intense and aromatic taste.

After filling each sheet, we carefully twist them, forming the pastries, which we place in a greased baking tray with butter or oil, leaving a little space between them so they can rise during baking. We preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and bake the pastries for 25-30 minutes, or until they become golden and appetizing. When they are ready, we take them out of the oven and let them cool a bit before serving. These stuffed pastries are perfect for a savory dessert or a delicious snack, full of flavors and textures!
