Different Frappe, with Ice Cream Chocolate
Ingredients: For 4-6 servings For cold chocolate cubes (12-14 pieces) - 200 ml milk - 50 ml water - 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder - 1 teaspoon sugar - 1 teaspoon instant coffee - 70 g dark chocolate (minimum 65% cocoa) For vanilla milk - 600 ml milk - 60 g sugar - 1 vanilla pod Other, optional - * whipped cream
Cold chocolate cubes
To prepare delicious cold chocolate cubes, start by finely chopping the chocolate. It is ideal to use high-quality chocolate with a high cocoa content to achieve an intense flavor. Place the chopped chocolate in a metal bowl or a heat-resistant one, which will allow for even melting.
In a saucepan, add the milk, water, sugar, and mix well so that the sugar dissolves completely. Then, add the instant coffee and cocoa, pre-dissolved in a little cold milk, to avoid lumps. Bring the mixture to medium heat and stir continuously until it reaches boiling point. It is important not to let the mixture boil too much, as this can affect the final texture of the chocolate.
Once the mixture has reached the desired temperature, remove the saucepan from the heat and immediately pour the hot composition over the chopped chocolate. Let it sit for 5 minutes, so the chocolate has time to melt. After this time, take a spatula and mix well until the chocolate is completely dissolved, and the mixture becomes creamy and homogeneous. Once you have achieved a smooth consistency, let the composition cool to room temperature.
Once cooled, pour the mixture into ice cube trays and place them in the freezer until the next day, to harden well. These chocolate cubes will add a special touch to your drinks.
To prepare vanilla milk, bring the milk, sugar, and seeds from the vanilla pod to a boil in a pot over medium heat. Stir continuously to dissolve the sugar and let the mixture come to a boil. Once it has boiled, remove from heat and let it cool. It is recommended to place the milk in the refrigerator overnight to intensify the flavors.
The drink can be served only the next day, when all the flavors have perfectly combined. At the time of serving, place 3-4 frozen chocolate cubes in glasses and pour the cold vanilla milk over them. Allow 3-5 minutes for the chocolate to start dissolving in the milk, creating a creamy and flavorful drink. For an even more sensational taste, feel free to add a little whipped cream on top.
