Pastry Macedonia is a delicious dessert that combines the crispy texture of the dough with a juicy filling, offering an unforgettable gastronomic experience. This simple and quick recipe will bring a touch of magic to your kitchen, and with a little patience and attention to detail, you will achieve a perfect result.

Preparation time: 30 minutes
Baking time: 25 minutes
Total: 55 minutes
Number of servings: 8

Ingredients:
- 500 g flour
- 200 g margarine (or butter, for a richer taste)
- 200 ml cold water
- 10 g salt
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 300 g filling (you can use sweet cheese, fruit jam, or chocolate)
- 1 egg (for brushing)

Step 1: Preparing the dough
Start by combining the flour, salt, and baking powder in a large bowl. This mixture will ensure a slightly airy texture for your dough. Add the diced margarine and knead with your fingers until you achieve a sandy composition. It is important not to leave large pieces of margarine, as they will affect the final texture.

Step 2: Adding water
Gradually add the cold water, kneading continuously until the dough becomes homogeneous and elastic. Avoid over-kneading, or the dough will become tough. Once you have a firmer but easily moldable dough, cover it with a clean towel and let it rest for 15 minutes.

Step 3: Portioning the dough
After the dough has rested, divide it into 8 pieces of approximately 100 g each. Form balls from these pieces, then gently flatten them with your palm.

Step 4: Filling
On each dough ball, place a tablespoon of the chosen filling (sweet cheese, jam, or chocolate) and wrap them up, making sure the filling is well covered. By doing this, you will avoid leaks during baking.

Step 5: Baking
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Arrange the items on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between them to bake evenly. Beat the egg and brush each piece with a brush for a golden and shiny crust. Bake for 25 minutes or until they turn golden and crispy.

Step 6: Serving
After taking them out of the oven, let them cool slightly on a rack. Pastry Macedonia is delicious both warm and at room temperature. You can serve it with a vanilla sauce or a scoop of ice cream for an extra treat.

Variation suggestions:
- Replace margarine with butter for a richer taste.
- Experiment with fillings such as chopped nuts or fresh fruits, adapting the recipe to the season.
- You can add spices like cinnamon or vanilla to the filling for a festive touch.

This pastry Macedonia recipe is not only simple and quick, but it will also bring joy in every bite. Enjoy creativity in the kitchen and don't hesitate to put your personal touch!
