Apple tart - a quick and tasty dessert

Apple tart is a perfect choice for those who love to make simple yet flavorful desserts. This fruit cake recipe is not only delicious but also easy to make, quickly becoming a family favorite. In this recipe, I will guide you step by step through the preparation process, providing practical tips to achieve a perfect result.

Preparation time: 20 minutes
Baking time: 40 minutes
Total time: 1 hour
Number of servings: 8

Ingredients:
- 150 ml oil (preferably sunflower oil for a neutral taste)
- 150 ml sparkling water
- a pinch of salt
- flour as needed (approximately 500 g, depending on humidity)
- 1 kg apples (you can use tart apples like Granny Smith for a pleasant contrast with the sweetness of the sugar)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 150-200 g sugar (adjust to taste)

Instructions:

1. Start by preparing the dough. In a large bowl, combine the oil, sparkling water, and a pinch of salt. Mix the ingredients well to achieve a smooth emulsion.
2. Gradually add the flour, stirring continuously. Continue adding flour until the dough becomes elastic and no longer sticks to your hands. It is important not to add too much flour at once to avoid making the dough too tough. Let the dough rest for about 15 minutes, covered with a clean towel.
3. Meanwhile, peel the apples and grate them using a large grater. Place the grated apples in a bowl and mix them with the sugar and cinnamon. This combination will add a wonderful flavor and help extract the juice from the apples.
4. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). This is the ideal temperature for baking the tart without burning it.
5. Once the dough has rested, divide it into two equal parts. Roll out the first part on a lightly floured surface, forming a thin sheet. Place the sheet of dough in a well-greased or lined tart pan.
6. Spread the apple mixture over the dough, distributing it evenly. Roll out the second sheet of dough and place it on top. From the leftover dough, you can create different shapes, such as flowers or leaves, to decorate the tart. This detail will not only make it more attractive but will also allow steam to escape during baking.
7. Bake the tart in the oven for 30-40 minutes, or until the dough is golden and crispy. Check to ensure it does not burn, and the aroma that will fill the kitchen will make you eagerly await to savor it.
8. Once baked, remove the tart from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes. Then, transfer it to a cooling rack to cool completely.
9. The apple tart can be served warm or cold, but a delicious combination is to serve it with fresh whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, which will perfectly balance the sweetness.

Possible variations:
- If you want an even more intense flavor, add some chopped nuts or almonds to the apple mixture.
- Experiment with different spices like nutmeg or ginger to customize the flavor.
- For a healthier version, replace the sugar with honey or maple syrup.

This apple tart is not just a quick dessert but also a wonderful way to bring a touch of joy and warmth to any moment of the day!
