To prepare a delicious and comforting meal, we start by boiling water in a large pot. We add the butter and salt, letting them melt and mix well with the water. In the meantime, we take care of the aromatic ingredients. We peel the garlic, chopping it finely, and wash the basil, which we chop finely to release all its flavors. When the water starts to boil, we add the pasta, following the instructions on the package, so that it is perfectly cooked.

Meanwhile, we take care of the sauce. We take a pan and pour in the unwhipped cream, adding the chopped garlic and basil, along with a pinch of salt and pepper. We let the mixture simmer for 2-3 minutes, making sure to stir constantly. When the sauce starts to boil and thicken, we add the diced mozzarella and stir well for another 2 minutes, until the cheese completely melts, forming a creamy and thick sauce.

When the pasta is cooked, we drain it and put it back in the pot it was cooked in or alternatively, in a large bowl. We pour the mozzarella and garlic sauce over the pasta, gently mixing to ensure that each piece of pasta is evenly coated. If desired, we can also add sliced or chunked smoked salmon for extra flavor.

To complete this dish, a fresh green salad is the perfect choice. We wash the lettuce well, chop it finely, and put it in a bowl. We add thinly sliced green or red onions, tomatoes, peppers, and a few slices of cucumber. The dressing is made simply by mixing olive oil, a little vinegar, finely chopped basil and mint, as well as crushed garlic. We pour the dressing over the salad and mix well, ensuring that all the ingredients are evenly coated.

For added texture, garlic croutons should be added just before serving to avoid them becoming soggy. Optionally, we can add a few slices of olives and some grated feta cheese. This combination of creamy pasta with smoked salmon and fresh salad, along with a glass of red wine, transforms ordinary meals into unforgettable moments. This recipe is one of my favorites, perfect when time is limited or when culinary inspiration is lacking. Enjoy every bite!

 Ingredients: Fettuccine pasta half a pack (slightly wider pasta) 400 ml of whipped cream, 3 cloves of garlic or 2 frozen cubes, basil 1 frozen cube or half a fresh bunch, salt, pepper to taste, grated mozzarella 350 g, butter the size of a walnut.
