To prepare a delicious meat roll with boiled eggs, we start by preparing the minced meat mixture. In a large bowl, we add minced beef or pork, depending on preference, and combine it with breadcrumbs. The breadcrumbs will help achieve a fluffier texture and will bind the ingredients together. Then, we crack an egg and add it to the mixture, making sure it integrates well. The onion is finely grated on a small grater, and its aroma will give a special taste to the roll, so don't skip it!

Once the mixture is homogeneous, we add grated cheese, which will provide extra flavor and an appetizing appearance. Greens are essential, so don't forget to finely chop fresh parsley and incorporate it. Now it's time to enhance the flavor, so add salt and pepper to taste. The mixture should be well-seasoned, but don't overdo it, as the boiled eggs will also add flavor.

After achieving a well-homogeneous mixture, we spread the meat on a plastic wrap or a lightly greased surface, forming a rectangle. We place the four boiled eggs lengthwise in the middle of the meat rectangle, then carefully start rolling the meat around the eggs, forming a compact roll. It is important to press gently to avoid the roll opening during baking.

Once the roll is formed, bacon or lard is wrapped around the roll to add an extra layer of flavor and to keep moisture, so the roll doesn't dry out during cooking.

We now prepare the ovenproof dish, which we drizzle with olive oil to prevent the roll from sticking. We place the roll in the dish, ensuring it is well secured. We preheat the oven to 190°C. We bake the roll for about an hour, using only the lower heating element of the oven to ensure even cooking. In the last 30 minutes, we activate both heating elements to achieve a golden and appetizing crust on top.

It is important to check the state of the roll from time to time, as the baking time may vary depending on the oven you are using. The roll is ready when the meat is well cooked, and the juices run clear. Once ready, we let it rest for a few minutes before slicing, so the juices redistribute and we obtain beautiful and juicy slices. Serve the roll warm, alongside a side of vegetables or a fresh salad, and enjoy a savory dish that will impress everyone at the table!
