Preparing this true royal feast begins a day in advance, the night before. It is a simple process, but full of flavor, that deserves to be respected. In a heat-resistant dish, carefully place four slices of buttered bread, which will form the base of this delicious dish. Make sure the slices are well buttered to achieve a rich flavor and a crispy texture at the end. On top of each slice of bread, place a slice of cheese, followed by a slice of cheddar or Hochland, depending on your preference. Then, add a slice of bacon, which will bring a salty and smoky taste, and optionally, you can add some fresh sliced mushrooms, which will provide extra moisture and flavor.
After assembling all the ingredients, cover with another slice of bread, also buttered, to create a hearty sandwich. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs as for an omelet, gradually adding cold milk. After pouring the eggs, flip the sandwiches in the dish after about 10-15 minutes, to allow the milk and eggs to penetrate evenly.

The next day, preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
