Number of Servings: 8 pockets

If you are looking for a simple and quick recipe that satisfies both sweet and savory cravings, look no further! These sweet and savory pockets are perfect for a snack, appetizer, or even a dessert. With a surprising combination of ingredients, these pockets will captivate anyone's taste buds.

Ingredients:
- 1 sheet of puff pastry (store-bought for a quick preparation)
- 150 g feta cheese or goat cheese (for the savory version)
- 100 g honey or jam (for the sweet version)
- 50 g chopped nuts (optional, for added texture)
- 1 egg (for brushing the pockets)
- 1 teaspoon of herbs (oregano or thyme, for the savory version)
- Powdered sugar (for decoration, optional)

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Make sure it is well heated to achieve a crispy crust on your pockets.

2. Roll out the puff pastry on a clean surface. Divide the dough into four equal squares, each about 10x10 cm.

3. For the savory pockets, add 1-2 tablespoons of feta or goat cheese to the center of each square, sprinkle some herbs and chopped nuts if desired. This will add a delicious flavor and crunchy texture.

4. For the sweet version, place a tablespoon of honey or jam in the center of each square, along with some chopped nuts. This mixture will create a perfect contrast between sweet and savory.

5. Fold the corners of the dough squares towards the center, forming a pocket. Make sure the edges are well sealed so that the filling does not leak during baking.

6. Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush each pocket with a kitchen brush. This step will give your pockets a golden and shiny hue.

7. Place the pockets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until golden and crispy.

8. Once out of the oven, let them cool for a few minutes. If you opted for the sweet version, you can sprinkle powdered sugar for an attractive appearance.

Serving Suggestion: These pockets are delicious both warm and cold. You can serve them with a mint yogurt dip for the savory pockets or with fresh fruits for the sweet version.

Possible Variations: You can adapt the filling to your preferences. Instead of cheese, you can use cooked ground meat or sautéed vegetables for a heartier version. You can also experiment with different types of jams or syrups for the sweet version.

These sweet and savory pockets are perfectly balanced and can be customized to suit your tastes. With a short preparation time and a simple ingredient list, you will create a delicious dish that will surely impress your guests!

Let the puff pastry thaw at room temperature. Cut it into cubes or triangles... however you like... and fill them with pieces of chocolate or a small piece of ham and cheese, or a piece of cheese... it’s up to your imagination. Place the packets on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, brush them with beaten eggs, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and bake in a preheated oven for 30 minutes. They are ready when they are slightly golden! Enjoy your meal!
