Chicken breast in milk
To prepare a delicious chicken breast with a juicy texture and savory taste, we need a piece of chicken breast that can weigh around 150 grams or, if you prefer, two smaller pieces that balance in weight. It is important to mention that we will not pound the chicken breast, as we want to keep its juiciness, and pounding could dry out the meat.
We start by preparing the necessary ingredients. Make sure you have quality butter on hand, which will give the dish a rich and pleasant flavor. You can also use olive oil, but the butter will add a special touch. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and add a tablespoon of butter, letting it melt completely before adding the meat. It is essential that the pan is well heated to achieve an even browning.
Once the butter is melted and starts to sizzle, carefully add the chicken breast to the pan. Let it brown on the first side for about two to three minutes without moving it, to form a golden crust. This will help seal in the juices. After this time, use a spatula to turn the chicken breast over and let it cook the same way for another two to three minutes.
To enrich the flavors, you can add some spices to the pan to taste. Salt, pepper, and possibly some herbs like rosemary or thyme can turn the dish into a true feast. If you want to add a touch of acidity, you can sprinkle a little lemon juice before turning the meat.
Once the chicken breast is cooked evenly, remove it from the pan and let it rest on a plate for a few minutes. This step is crucial as it allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in a juicier chicken breast. Serve the chicken breast alongside your favorite side dish: sautéed vegetables, a fresh salad, or mashed potatoes. Enjoy your meal!
