Today's dessert will delight your senses with a delicious and nostalgic combination: pancakes filled with cherry jam and soaked in bird's milk. This is a quick and simple dessert, ideal for moments when you want to bring a touch of magic into your kitchen. Here’s how to prepare this recipe step by step to achieve a perfect result.

Total preparation time: 1 hour
Preparation time: 30 minutes
Baking time: 15 minutes
Number of servings: 4-6

Ingredients for pancakes:
- 300 g flour
- 100 ml milk
- 250 ml water
- 1 teaspoon oil
- 1 egg
- 1 sachet vanilla sugar
- 1-2 tablespoons sugar (depending on preferences)
- a pinch of salt

Ingredients for bird's milk: (see the recipe on my page)

Pancake preparation:

1. Start by preparing the pancake batter. In a large bowl, mix the egg with the vanilla sugar, regular sugar, salt, and oil. Use a whisk or mixer to achieve a smooth mixture.

2. Gradually add the milk and then the flour. Mix well to avoid lumps. The batter should be thick but not so dense that it cannot be spread. If necessary, thin the mixture with water while stirring constantly.

3. Heat a non-stick pan (or a regular pan greased with oil) over medium heat. Drizzle a little oil in the pan and ensure it is evenly coated.

4. Using a ladle, pour the batter into the pan, tilting the pan to spread the batter into a thin layer. Let the pancake brown for about 1 minute, then flip it to the other side and let it cook for a few more seconds.

5. Repeat the process until all the batter is used. Place the pancakes on a plate and let them cool completely. This step is essential, as warm pancakes will become too soggy in the bird's milk.

Filling and serving:

6. Once the pancakes have cooled, fill each pancake with cherry jam. This jam will add a tart note that perfectly complements the creaminess of the bird's milk.

7. Place the filled pancakes in a deep bowl and pour the bird's milk over them, ensuring they are evenly covered.

8. Let the pancakes absorb the bird's milk for about 30 minutes before serving. This waiting time allows the flavors to blend and the pancakes to become juicy.

Practical tips:
- Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature for an even batter.
- If you don’t have cherry jam, you can use any other fruit jam you prefer, such as peach or strawberry jam.
- Experiment with adding rum or orange essence to the pancake batter for an extra flavor boost.

Serve this dessert with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of ice cream for an even more decadent experience. Enjoy! This recipe for pancakes with bird's milk will surely remind you of the flavors of childhood!
