Baked Pumpkin
Ingredients: pieces of: pumpkin, apple, quince, raisins, orange juice, honey, cinnamon
To transform this simple recipe into a delicious dish, we start by preparing all the necessary ingredients. It is essential to work with quality ingredients to achieve a final result that meets expectations. We will need flour, sugar, eggs, butter, milk, baking powder, and of course, raisins. The latter will add a sweet taste and a pleasant texture to our dish.
In a large bowl, we begin by combining the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, and baking powder. Mixing them will ensure an even distribution of the leavening agent in the mixture, which will contribute to an even rise of the dough. In another bowl, we will beat the eggs together with the milk and melted butter, making sure that all the ingredients are at room temperature to incorporate well.
Once we have obtained a homogeneous mixture, we gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ones, mixing with a spatula until there are no traces of flour. It is important not to overmix to avoid developing gluten and to achieve a dense final product. Once the dough is ready, we focus on the raisins. We can soak them in warm water for a few minutes so that they become fluffier and do not burn during baking. After draining them, we carefully incorporate them into the dough, making sure to place them as deep as possible to prevent burning.
After we finish mixing, we transfer the mixture to the prepared pan, which we have greased with butter and sprinkled with flour to prevent sticking. Using a spatula, we level the surface to achieve an even appearance. We preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and place the pan inside. We let the dish bake for about 30 minutes. It is important not to open the oven door in the first 20 minutes to avoid compromising the rising process.
After 30 minutes, we check if it is done by using a toothpick that should come out clean. Once baked, we remove the pan from the oven and let the dish cool slightly before slicing. It can be served plain, dusted with sugar, or alongside a portion of Greek yogurt for a contrast of flavors. This recipe is perfect for an energizing breakfast or a savory dessert, ideal for any occasion. Enjoy each slice and savor the delicious flavors!
