Chicken Breast Marinated in Milk
To achieve a juicy and flavorful chicken breast, it is essential to give it the necessary attention in the preparation process. We start by slicing the chicken breast into thin strips lengthwise, ensuring they have an even thickness so they cook evenly. The slices should not be too thick, as they risk being raw inside, nor too thin, to avoid drying out.
In a sufficiently large bowl, we crush a few cloves of garlic, thus releasing their intense aroma. Over the crushed garlic, we add cold milk, making sure there is enough to completely cover the chicken breast slices. This mixture of milk and garlic will act as a marinade, helping to tenderize the meat and adding a hint of flavor. We leave the pieces of meat in this marinade for about 3 hours, but for optimal results, it is recommended to let them marinate overnight. This way, the flavors will penetrate better into the meat, and the chicken breast will become extremely tender.
After the marinating time has expired, we put a pan on the heat, in which we add a teaspoon of butter or, alternatively, 2-3 tablespoons of oil. When the fat is well heated, we carefully introduce the chicken breast slices, ensuring we do not overcrowd the pan to allow for even frying. We fry the meat on high heat, so we achieve a golden and crispy crust on the outside while remaining juicy on the inside. After a few minutes, when the slices are cooked, we remove them from the pan and place them on a platter.
To add a hint of flavor, we season the chicken breast slices with salt and freshly ground white pepper to taste. This step is essential to highlight the flavors and complement the dish. As a side dish, we can opt for crispy French fries or sautéed vegetables, which will add color and texture to the plate.
This simple and quick recipe will surely become your family's favorite, being ideal for both a family lunch and an elegant dinner. Enjoy the dish with your loved ones and don't forget to savor every bite! Bon appétit!
