Add the melted butter and vanilla, mixing well to combine the ingredients.
In another bowl, si sift the flour with the baking powder and salt. Gradually fold the flour mixture into the egg mixture, stirring with a spatula or wooden spoon. Finally, add the chopped apples and stir gently to distribute them evenly in the batter.
Pour the mixture into a buttered and floured cake pan. Bake the cake in the preheated oven at 180°C for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Leave the cake to cool completely.
Meanwhile, prepare the whipped cream. Beat the liquid cream with the powdered sugar until stiff and airy. Once the cake has cooled, cut in half or leave whole, depending on preference. We recommend a spring cake that will delight both the eyes and the taste buds of your guests. Recipe for apple cake: Peel the apples (set aside about 4 apples for decoration) and remove the cores, placing them in a cake pan next to each other, and filling the spaces between them with pieces. Fill the centers of the apples with sugar, a pinch of cinnamon, and a small piece of butter on top. Bake until the apples are well softened. Meanwhile, prepare the batter: Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt, five tablespoons of sugar, and a packet of vanilla sugar. Add the yolks, then the flour and starch, mixing gently from top to bottom so that the batter does not deflate. Pour over the baked apples and gently shake the pan to let the batter fill the centers of the apples. Bake at moderate heat for about 30 minutes. Remove and let cool. Prepare the syrup from 200 ml of water and 4 tablespoons of sugar. Once it boils, let it cool and add the rum. Soak the cake. The reserved apples are sliced thinly with the skin on and baked (long live the microwave) or lightly blanched. Whip the cream with the remaining sugar and the packet of vanilla sugar. Put a layer on top and artistically arrange the apples. Pour the gelatin over (prepared according to the instructions on the packet). Garnish with the remaining whipped cream. Serve the apple cake with whipped cream on any festive occasion.
