Apple and Yogurt Cake
Ingredients: -2 eggs -2 plain yogurts of 125 g each -1 packet of baking powder -1 packet of vanilla sugar -30 g of melted butter -2 yogurt containers of sugar (use the yogurt containers as measuring cups) -3 yogurt containers of flour. -one grated apple cut into thin slices.
To prepare a delicious yogurt and apple dessert, we start by gathering all the necessary ingredients. You will need two 200-gram yogurts, four eggs, 150 grams of sugar, a packet of vanilla sugar, 300 grams of flour, a teaspoon of baking powder, one medium apple, and 100 grams of butter. Make sure all the ingredients are at room temperature so they mix evenly.
The first step is to take a large bowl in which to beat the yogurts together with the eggs. Use an electric mixer or a whisk to obtain a homogeneous mixture. Gradually add the sugar and vanilla sugar, continuing to mix until the sugar is completely dissolved and the mixture becomes creamy. This mixture will provide a pleasant taste and a fine texture to your cake.
In another bowl, sift the flour together with the baking powder. This step is important because aerating the flour will make the cake fluffier. After sifting the flour, gradually add it to the yogurt, eggs, and sugar mixture. Use a spatula or a wooden spoon to incorporate the flour, being careful not to overmix, as this could activate the gluten in the flour, which might lead to a dense cake.
Once you have achieved a uniform mixture, it's time to add the apple, which you have peeled and diced. The fresh apple will add extra flavor and moisture to the cake. Also, melt the butter and let it cool slightly, then incorporate it into the mixture. This will provide a rich taste and a soft texture.
Prepare a baking tray that you grease with butter, making sure it is well coated to prevent the cake from sticking. Pour the mixture into the tray, leveling the surface with the spatula. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius and place the tray inside. Allow the cake to bake for about 30 minutes or until it turns golden and a cake tester inserted in the middle comes out clean.
After the cake is baked, let it cool slightly in the tray, then remove it onto a wire rack to cool completely. You can serve it plain or with a sprinkle of powdered sugar on top. This yogurt and apple cake is perfect for any occasion, being not only tasty but also easy to prepare!
