Breaded Tomatoes with Garlic Sauce
To prepare a delicious recipe for fried tomatoes, we will start by selecting the freshest tomatoes, preferably from the garden or the market. First, we carefully wash the tomatoes under a stream of cold water, thus removing impurities and pesticides. Then, we cut the tomatoes into thick slices, about one centimeter, to ensure they fry evenly and remain juicy inside. In a separate bowl, we crack the fresh egg and add a pinch of salt, which will enhance the flavor of the dish. By beating the egg with a whisk, we will achieve a homogeneous mixture. Then, we gradually add the tablespoons of flour, mixing well to avoid lumps. Finally, we pour in a little water, just enough to achieve a fluid consistency, but not too watery.
Now, we can add the slices of tomatoes to the bowl with the egg and flour mixture, ensuring that each slice is well coated. In a deep frying pan, we heat oil. It is important for the oil to be well heated, so we wait a few minutes until it starts to sizzle and bubble. Using a spatula, we place the tomatoes in the pan, one by one, being careful not to overlap them, so they fry evenly. We let them fry on one side until they become golden and crispy, then we carefully turn them over to the other side, continuing the frying process.
After all the slices of tomatoes have been fried to perfection, we carefully arrange them on a platter, considering the final presentation. At this point, we can add garlic sauce over each slice of tomato, which will add an intense and savory flavor. If you want to impress your guests, feel free to garnish the dish with fresh parsley leaves, which not only enhance the appearance but also the taste.
This dish is ideal for a quick lunch or a light dinner, being both healthy and filling. Enjoy your meal!
