Happy Valentine’s Day Tart: A Fruity Delight for the Perfect Moment

With every celebration of love, we wish to bring a bit of that magic into our dishes. The Happy Valentine’s Day Tart is not just a dessert, but a true declaration of love, a mix of flavors and colors that will delight any heart. This simple yet refined recipe will transform your romantic meeting into a memorable moment. Let's start the culinary journey!

Preparation time: 30 minutes
Baking time: 25-40 minutes
Total time: 1 hour
Servings: 8

Ingredients

For the dough:
- 2 cups of flour
- 1 package of butter (about 200g), at room temperature
- A pinch of salt

For the filling:
- 1 package of vanilla pudding
- 1 package of strawberry pudding
- 100-150 ml of milk
- 2 eggs
- 3 tablespoons of sugar

For the fruits:
- 1-2 apples (preferably Granny Smith for a slightly tart taste)
- 2 kiwis
- 2 mandarins
- 5-6 strawberries
- Seeds from one pomegranate (optional, for extra texture and color)

Step by step

1. Preparing the Dough:
In a large bowl, combine the flour with the diced butter and a pinch of salt. Use your fingers to knead the ingredients until the mixture becomes crumbly, resembling sand. This is the base of the tart, and the butter will provide a rich and delicious texture.

2. Forming the Dough:
Once you have a homogeneous mixture, form a ball from the dough and wrap it in plastic wrap. Let it chill in the fridge for 30 minutes. This step is essential to firm up the dough, making it easier to roll out.

3. Preparing the Filling:
In a food processor, add the vanilla pudding, milk, and sugar. Mix on medium speed for about 10 minutes, until the mixture becomes creamy. Then, add the eggs one at a time, continuing to mix for another 10 minutes. This filling will add a sweet taste and a velvety texture.

4. Preparing the Fruits:
Peel the kiwi and mandarins, slicing them into thin rounds. The apples should not be peeled but sliced thinly to add a crunchy note. These fruits will bring a mix of flavors and very attractive colors to the tart.

5. Assembling the Tart:
Remove the dough from the fridge. Grease a tart pan with a little butter and dust it with flour to prevent sticking. Roll out the dough evenly in the pan using a rolling pin. Ensure the edges are well defined, using a fork to shape them.

6. Adding the Fruits and Filling:
Place the apple slices on the dough base, followed by the pudding filling. Add the kiwi and mandarin rounds, and for a special touch, decorate with sliced strawberries. Don’t forget to sprinkle the pomegranate seeds for an extra touch of freshness and crunch!

7. Baking the Tart:
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Place the tart in the oven and bake for 25-40 minutes. For the first 10 minutes, avoid opening the oven door to allow the filling to set. After this time, you can check if it’s done by gently shaking the pan. The tart is perfectly baked when the filling is firm but slightly elastic.

8. Finishing and Serving:
Once the tart is baked, let it rest in the oven for 5 minutes, then remove it and let it cool completely. For an elegant finish, you can dust it with powdered sugar or add various toppings such as whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.

Practical Tips:
- *Choose fresh ingredients:* Seasonal fruits are the most flavorful and will make your tart shine.
- *Vary the fruits:* You can experiment with raspberries, blackberries, or even peaches, depending on your preferences.
- *Check the consistency:* The filling should be creamy but not liquid. If it’s too soft, you can add a little flour.
- *Recommended drinks:* The tart pairs excellently with a sweet white wine or a refreshing lemonade.

Nutritional Benefits:
This tart is not just a delicious dessert but also a source of vitamins and antioxidants thanks to the fresh fruits. Apples are rich in fiber, while kiwis and mandarins contain vitamin C, essential for the immune system.

Frequently Asked Questions:
- Can I use other types of flour? Yes, you can experiment with whole wheat flour for a healthier dough.
- What can I use instead of butter? Margarine or coconut oil are excellent alternatives for vegans.
- How can I store the tart? Cover it with plastic wrap and keep it in the fridge for 2-3 days.
