Pear cake is a quick and delicious dessert, perfect for celebrating special moments or simply to bring a touch of joy to tiring days. This simple recipe will turn juicy pears into the stars of your dish, giving them an intense flavor and perfect texture.

Preparation time: 20 minutes
Baking time: 40 minutes
Total time: 1 hour
Number of servings: 8

Ingredients:
- 250 g flour
- 150 g sugar
- 100 g butter, melted
- 3 eggs
- 1 packet of baking powder (about 10 g)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
- 3-4 ripe pears, sliced
- 1-2 tablespoons brown sugar for caramelization

Instructions:

1. Preparing the batter: Start by gathering all the necessary ingredients for the batter. In the bowl of a food processor, add the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix them gently to combine.

2. Add the eggs: Continue to add the three eggs and vanilla extract, then pour in the melted butter. Turn on the processor at medium speed and let it mix the ingredients for 3-5 minutes until the batter becomes smooth and homogeneous. This step is crucial because a well-mixed batter will ensure a fluffy cake.

3. Preparing the pears: Wash the pears well, peel them, and slice them thinly. If you want to add extra flavor, you can sprinkle a little lemon juice over them to prevent oxidation and enhance sweetness.

4. Assembling: Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a baking pan with a bit of butter or line it with parchment paper. Pour half of the batter into the pan, arrange the pear slices evenly on top, then add the remaining batter over the pears. This double layer of pears will add a delicious contrast of textures.

5. Caramelizing: Finally, sprinkle the brown sugar on top of the cake. It will caramelize during baking, providing a crunchy crust and a unique flavor.

6. Baking: Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for about 35-40 minutes or until the cake turns golden and passes the toothpick test (when the toothpick comes out clean).

7. Cooling and serving: Let the cake cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes, then carefully transfer it to a cooling rack. You can serve the cake warm, alongside vanilla ice cream or freshly whipped cream, for a temperature contrast that will impress anyone.

Variations: You can experiment with different fruits, such as apples or peaches, if you want to bring a note of diversity. Additionally, adding chopped nuts or almonds to the batter will provide a pleasant crunch.

This pear cake is not only easy to make but also impressive in appearance and taste. Enjoy every slice and savor your moment of indulgence!
