Croissants with Finetti
To prepare the delicious croissants and fish-shaped pastries with Finetti, the beginning of the recipe consists of making a soft and fluffy dough. The first step is to take a bowl and mix the egg well with the milk, ensuring that the ingredients are homogeneous. After obtaining a uniform mixture, we pour the mixture into the bread machine's bowl. Here, we add the two tablespoons of oil, which will provide extra flavor and texture to the dough.
In another bowl, we will combine the sugar and salt with the flour. This mix will ensure an even distribution of flavors and leavening agents. Once the mixture is ready, we add it to the liquids in the bowl, making sure to create a small well in the center of the flour. In this well, we place the two teaspoons of dry yeast, essential for obtaining a well-risen and airy dough. Now, we can insert the bowl into the bread machine, selecting the kneading and rising program.
After the program is finished, we take the dough out of the bowl, which will be elastic and slightly sticky. On the work surface, we sprinkle a little flour and start dividing the dough into smaller pieces. Each piece is rolled out into the shape of a rectangle, and then we cut the dough into squares. On each square, we put a generous teaspoon of Finetti, which will add a delicious chocolate note. We roll the dough into a croissant shape, making sure to seal the edges well.
For those who want to be more creative, we can also make fish-shaped pastries. We roll out a strip of dough, spread it with Finetti, and then fold it in half. Using a plastic fish-shaped cutter, we cut the dough and obtain adorable snacks.
After preparing the croissants and fish-shaped pastries, we carefully place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. For a golden and appetizing appearance, we brush each product with beaten egg. Now we are ready to bake our delights! We preheat the oven to 250 degrees Celsius and bake for 10-15 minutes, until the croissants and fish-shaped pastries become golden and crispy.
