These basic ingredients combine harmoniously to create a cake with a rich flavor and perfect texture.

The first step in making brownies is to preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. In a heat-resistant bowl, place the chocolate and butter cut into small pieces. Set the bowl over a pot of gently boiling water (a technique called bain-marie) and stir until completely melted and a homogeneous mixture is obtained. This step is essential to achieve a fluid chocolate, which will give the brownies their characteristic texture.

After the chocolate mixture has cooled slightly, add the sugar and mix well. Then add the eggs, one at a time, making sure to fully incorporate each one before adding the next. This step will help aerate the mixture, giving the brownies a fluffier texture. Continue by adding the flour, baking powder, and salt, mixing carefully to avoid lumps.
