Cheese roulades
Cheese Roll-Ups – a simple and delicious recipe, perfect for a quick dinner or a savory lunch. These roll-ups are full of flavor and texture, ideal for impressing family or friends. Here’s how to prepare them step by step, achieving a perfect result every time.
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 25 minutes
Total time: 40 minutes
Number of servings: 4
Ingredients:
- 500 g minced meat (pork or beef, depending on preference)
- 1 large egg
- 2 slices of bread (preferably whole grain for extra nutrients)
- 1 bunch of fresh parsley
- 1 medium onion
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 10 slices of cheese (you can use smoked cheese for an intense flavor)
- 2 teaspoons of ground cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Preparation:
1. Preparing the ingredients: Start by finely chopping the onion and garlic. If you want a more intense flavor, you can sauté them a little in a pan with oil before adding them to the meat mixture. Wash the parsley well and chop it finely.
2. Mixing the composition: In a large bowl, combine the minced meat, chopped onion and garlic, chopped parsley, cumin, and egg. Add the slices of bread, which will help bind the mixture. Mix everything well with your hands or a spatula until you get a homogeneous mass. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
3. Forming the roll-ups: On a plastic wrap or a clean surface, spread the meat mixture into a rectangle about 1 cm thick. Place the cheese slices evenly over the entire surface, leaving a few centimeters free at the edges to prevent the cheese from leaking during baking.
4. Rolling: Using the plastic wrap, carefully roll the mixture to form a tight roll. Make sure the edges are well sealed to avoid unrolling during cooking.
5. Cooking the roll-ups: Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Place the roll-ups in the pan and fry for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden and crispy. You can also bake them in the oven at 180°C for 20-25 minutes for a healthier option.
6. Serving: Once the roll-ups are ready, let them cool for a few minutes, then slice them thickly. The dish can be served alongside a fresh salad or with a garlic yogurt sauce.
Variation suggestion: You can add other ingredients to the mixture, such as diced bell peppers or olives, to add a different flavor. Also, instead of cheese, you can use feta cheese or mozzarella for a surprising effect.
This cheese roll-up recipe is not only tasty but also versatile, allowing you to adapt it to your preferences. Experiment with various spices or additional ingredients and enjoy a dish that will surely become a favorite in your home!
