Grilled Bulz Recipe

Enjoy a delicious and unique recipe: grilled bulz! This traditional Romanian dish, reinterpreted in a modern style, combines the flavor of cheese with the fine texture of cornmeal. Perfect for an outdoor dinner or a party with friends, bulz is not only tasty but also easy to prepare. The preparation time is about 30 minutes, and the grilling time is 10-15 minutes, resulting in a total of 45 minutes for 4 servings.

Ingredients:
- 400 g cornmeal
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 l water
- 300 g sheep cheese (or feta cheese for a more accessible option)

Necessary utensils:
- A large pot for boiling
- A work surface
- String or a knife for cutting
- Grill or grill pan
- Spatula for turning the bulz

Step by step:

1. Preparing the polenta: Start by bringing 1 liter of water to a boil in a large pot. Add 1 teaspoon of salt to enhance the flavor. When the water starts to boil, gradually sift 400 g of cornmeal into the hot water, stirring continuously with a wooden spoon to avoid lumps.

2. Boiling: Continue stirring the polenta for 15-20 minutes until it thickens and easily pulls away from the sides of the pot. It is important to stir constantly to achieve a fine and even texture.

3. Forming the bulz: Turn the polenta onto a clean work surface. Let it cool slightly, then use the string to cut it into four equal pieces. From each quarter, form a ball, making sure to create a dent in the middle of each ball. Place a few pieces of sheep cheese in the center of each ball and mold them again, sealing the cheese inside well.

4. Grilling: Preheat the grill to medium heat. Place the bulz on the hot grill, letting them cook for 10-15 minutes. Turn them with the spatula to ensure even browning on all sides. We are looking for a brown and crispy crust that will add a delicious texture to the dish.

5. Serving: Grilled bulz is served warm, as a side dish alongside a fresh salad or as an appetizer. You can accompany it with a yogurt sauce with dill for an extra touch of freshness.

Useful tips:
- If you want to add a touch of originality, you can experiment with different types of cheese, such as goat cheese or mozzarella. These will provide a distinct flavor to the bulz.
- Instead of cheese, you can also add some slices of ham or bacon to create a heartier version.
- Make sure the grill is well greased with oil before placing the bulz to prevent sticking.

This grilled bulz is not only a simple and quick recipe but also a delicious way to enjoy culinary traditions in a modern and refined way. Enjoy your meal!
